Peter Peña

Peter Peña has worked in various roles in the technology industry for the past 17 years. In 2003, they began as a Quality Assurance Intern at Avaya, where they conducted tests on a solution for Avaya International Services and aided in platform engineering and design. In 2004, they returned to Avaya as a Software Programming Intern, where they created a work request tool with a MySQL database backend and web interface. In 2005, they joined Lime Brokerage LLC as a Software Engineer. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Director - Software Engineer at UBS, and from 2013 to 2017, they worked as an AVP - Applications Development Technical Specialist at Citi. Peter added new features and implemented pricing model updates in a C# pricing engine for single stock quoting on Bloomberg, and they also helped design, implement and maintain a C++ high performance ETF, index, and basket pricing engine. Since 2017, they have been the Head of Trading Operations at Imperative Execution Inc.

Peter Peña obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2001 and 2005, with a field of study in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Peter also holds certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), including the Series 24, Series 63, and Series 7.
