Hannah Zhao

Hannah Zhao is a skilled data scientist currently employed at Imperial Oil since August 2020, with a background that includes roles as an ore quality engineer and mine performance analyst. Prior to this, Hannah served as an undergraduate research assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Alberta, focusing on wildfire prediction and prevention using advanced technology. Experience also includes a co-op position at Suncor, where responsibilities involved reviewing mine designs, digitizing structures, and producing site maps. Additional involvement with the Engineering Students' Society at the University of Alberta included positions as Professional Development Coordinator and Associate Vice President, emphasizing alumni relations and student networking events. Hannah Zhao holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Alberta and is pursuing a Master of Computer and Information Technology with a focus on computer science at the University of Pennsylvania.
