Alexander Romanov

Alexander Romanov has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Member in Russia for AIESEC in 2006. From there, they worked as a Director at Sms Deluxe Ltd from 2007-2010. In 2010, they became the Founder & CEO of BookMyBest.com, where they successfully launched a hotel metasearch engine and achieved full self-sufficiency in less than three months. BookMyBest.com was later acquired by Aviasales/JetRadar and renamed to Hotellook. Concurrently, Alexander also worked as the Director & Co-Owner of Colorit studio from 2010-2012. Alexander then transitioned to Aviasales/JetRadar, first as a Product Manager for Hotel Search from 2012-2015, where they relaunched the product as hotellook and led it to become the biggest hotel metasearch in Russia. Alexander then became the Flight OTA Team Lead from 2015-2017, where they successfully launched a flight Online Travel Agency and grew it to become one of the leading flight OTAs in Thailand. In 2017, Alexander founded JetCompass and served as the Founder & Owner until 2022. Finally, they joined Import.io in 2020 as the Core Team Engineering Lead.

From 2005 to 2011, Alexander Romanov attended Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU), where they obtained a Master's degree in IT in Economics.
