Gustav van der Westhuizen

Gustav van der Westhuizen has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Gustav started their career in 2002 as a Geographic Information Systems Technician at GIS Global Image (Pty) Ltd. In 2004, they worked as a High School Teacher at Augsburg Landbou Gimnasium. From 2006 onwards, they worked at IMQS Software, where they held various positions including Geographic Information Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner, and ultimately Head of Product. In 2006, they also briefly worked at the Environment Agency as a Geographic Information Systems Technician.

Gustav van der Westhuizen holds a Postgraduate Degree in Knowledge and Information Systems Management (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University, which they completed from 2020 to 2021. Prior to this, they completed an Advanced Management Programme in Business Administration and Management from Solstice GHCS in 2016. In 2012, they obtained a Diploma in Entrepreneurship from Stellenbosch Business School. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in Information and Data Modelling from Faculty Training Institute, which they earned in 2010. In 2009, they completed a Diploma in Business Analysis from the same institute. Their educational background also includes a BA Honours in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from Stellenbosch University in 2005, as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Education (PGCE) obtained in 2004. Gustav commenced their education journey at Stellenbosch University in 2000 and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Science in 2003.
