Helena O'Brien

Helena O'Brien is the current Virtual Events Manager at IMS - Integrated Media Solutions. Helena was previously the Sales and Marketing Manager at The Montenotte Hotel from July 2016 to June 2020.

Helena was assigned the task of developing what was previously known as a budget 3* hotel to a luxury high-end 4* boutique hotel. With a mission of becoming the leading independent, boutique hotel in Ireland, providing high end luxury customer experiences always.

Helena developed and drove all elements of the business from midweek corporate business to weekend leisure business. Branding is key to the hotel, Helena managed and developed the #STAYUNIQUE Montenotte Hotel and sub brands to the highest standards. This included online media platforms as well as key partnership opportunities for the property.

A large focus for the hotel was the luxury residential incentive business and a strong relationship with Tourism Ireland has been developed to focus on emerging markets. Creating unique events for clients and targeting sectors that fit the hotels target market well, such as Tech, Pharma and Beauty. Being creative with corporate events, it is not about selling a meeting room, it is about selling an experience and delivering. Helena created corporate event that clients want to recreate for their own clients or colleagues.

After completing a Bachelor of Business in Management from Munster Technological University, Helena O'Brien pursued a certificate in marketing from The Marketing Institute of Ireland. Helena then completed a certificate in management development from The Open University before obtaining a diploma in travel and tourism from Cork College of FET - Morrison's Island Campus. Finally, they completed a Bachelor of Business from Munster Technological University in business administration and management.
