Shauki Elassaad has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Shauki started their career at Intel Corporation in 1991 as a CAD Engineer, where they developed algorithms for RC parasitics extraction and interconnect delay modeling. Shauki then worked at High Level Design Systems as a Senior CAD Engineer, managing engineering teams and designing advanced technology projects.
In 1996, Shauki joined Cadence Design Systems as an Architect and later became a Research Scientist. Shauki focused on hierarchical system-on-chip design and global signal optimization. At Rio Design Automation, starting from 2004, they served as an Architect, leading a team to develop tools for chip-package co-design and modeling.
Shauki worked at Synopsys Inc as a Design Consultant, leading high-end clock design methodology projects and clock mesh projects for semiconductor clients. Shauki then joined Stanford University as a Senior Research Scientist, specializing in brain-inspired computing paradigms, tera-scale neuromorphic platform design, and ultra-low power neural prosthetics for Brain Machine Interfaces.
In 2006, Shauki became the President of Emergent Design Automation, providing design consulting services for IC design and EDA companies. Shauki also gained expertise in physical synthesis, including power, timing, and design closure. In 2013, they founded In-Depth, Inc., where they served as the CEO and Chief AI Officer. Shauki built and led a team that developed a real-time unstructured data analytics pipeline using machine learning and AI algorithms for Competitive Intelligence and Market Research.
Currently, Shauki Elassaad is the CEO of In-Depth AI, Inc., a position they have held since 2021.
Shauki Elassaad pursued their education in the field of Engineering and Computer Science. Shauki obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University between 1986 and 1991. Later, they attended UC Berkeley and earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from 2004 to 2008.
