Masayo Halpin

Masayo Halpin is a multifaceted professional currently serving as a Training Specialist at IN OUR BACKYARD since September 2022 and as an Instructor at a local community college since January 2022, teaching courses on Human Trafficking, Ethics in Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, and Women and Crime. In addition to these roles, Masayo has been an Independent Consultant on Domestic Sex Trafficking since June 2019 and previously worked as a Public Speaker on the subject from December 2017 to June 2019. Masayo's extensive experience includes a decade-long tenure as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation from January 1997 to January 2017. Educationally, Masayo holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Howard University School of Law (1989-1992) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from Western Washington University (1985-1989).
