Emily Patterson

Emily Patterson, MBA, has a strong background in product management and leadership roles. Emily is currently working as the VP of Product at Finite State, where they oversee product strategies and development. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Product Management at Finite State and Fortress Information Security, where they worked on cybersecurity solutions for critical infrastructure and managed multiple products.

Emily has also held leadership positions at Pareto Intelligence, where they led a team of product managers and analysts in building healthcare products, and at Kenna Security, where they created the product function and relaunched a key strategic secondary product. Additionally, they have experience as a Product Owner at BMW Technology Corporation and VISANOW Global Immigration, where they were responsible for defining functionality and prioritizing features.

In addition to their corporate roles, Emily has volunteered their time as the Founder and Lead Instructor at In the Lab Product Management, an incubator program aimed at teaching underrepresented individuals in tech the basics of product management.

Emily Patterson, MBA completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) at Questrom School of Business, Boston University, specializing in Operations Management and Management Information Systems from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, Emily obtained certifications including Product-led Certification from Mind the Product, Certified ScrumMaster, and they are a candidate for (ISC)² certification.
