Kevin Heikes has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Kevin began their career in 1985 at Triangle H Bar Simmentals, working in the farm and ranch sector until 1996. Kevin then moved on to work at VantagePoint Network, where they played a role in sales and marketing from 1998 to 2000. After that, they joined Farmland Foods as a Youth Leadership Conference Ambassador. In 2000, they worked as a Business Analyst at Farms.com, where they developed an online cattle auction platform and managed the marketing campaign for segmented cattle industry groups. From 2001 to 2002, they served as a Business/Systems Analyst at Sprint PCS, acting as a liaison between marketing and development teams. In 2003, they became the Vice President of Technology and Operations at the American Royal Association. Kevin then held the position of Director of Operations at Farms Technology (Acquired by DuPont Pioneer) from 2006 to 2014. Subsequently, they became the Farms Technology Skunkworks BU Manager at Corteva Agriscience from 2012 to 2014. Most recently, Kevin Heikes co-founded INTENT in 2016, where they assumed the role of Co-Founder and COO. In this role, they played an active part in leveraging advanced technology and their team's expertise to help clients realize the potential of their innovations, specifically in the agriculture industry.

Kevin Heikes completed their education in a chronological order starting with LaVeta High School from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained their high school degree. Kevin then attended Colorado State University from 1996 to 2000, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agricultural Business. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Agribusiness (MAB) degree in Agri-Business at Kansas State University from 2008 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the certification of Evernote Community Leader from Evernote in July 2016.
