Grzegorz Toporek

Grzegorz Toporek has extensive work experience in the field of research and development, particularly in the areas of medical imaging and image analysis. Grzegorz is currently working as a Senior Manager in the AI/ML group at Inari Medical since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Philips as a Senior Research Scientist & Project Leader from March 2019 to April 2022, and as a Research Scientist from November 2015 to March 2019. Grzegorz also has experience working at CAScination AG as a Regulatory Project Manager from June 2015 to September 2015, and as an R&D Engineer from September 2011 to June 2015.

Grzegorz has a strong academic background and has worked at various research institutions. Grzegorz served as a Research Fellow at ETH Zurich, where they worked on a Master thesis project focused on developing fast X-ray imaging using Compressive Sensing for highly-undersampled projection data. Grzegorz also worked as a Research Assistant at AGH-University of Science and Technology. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Junior Research Scientist at Paul Scherrer Institut and EMPA - Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research.

Furthermore, Grzegorz has worked as an Engineering Intern at Lappenranta University of Technology, where they evaluated the mechanical properties of wood-plastic composites within an international research group.

Grzegorz Toporek received their BSc in Biomedical Engineering from AGH University of Krakow in 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they pursued an MSc in Computer Sciences and Electronics, with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering, from the same university. In 2011, they also briefly studied at ETH Zürich in the field of Biomedical/Medical Engineering but did not obtain a degree. In the same year, they enrolled at the University of Bern to pursue a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, which they completed in 2015. Later, in 2020, Grzegorz obtained a certification in Scaled Agile Framework PO/PM from Scaled Agile, Inc.
