Principal R&d Engineer at Inari Medical

Marek Lhotak has over 10 years of work experience in the medical device industry. Marek is currently working as a Principal R&D Project Engineer at Inari Medical. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2023, Marek worked at Foldax Inc. where they held the positions of Staff R&D Engineer and Sr. R&D Engineer. At Foldax Inc., they led the design development and verification activities of a novel polymeric Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) therapy. Marek also has experience working at Xeltis as an R&D Engineer, where they led projects for the commercialization of the world's first regenerative polymer surgical heart valve. Marek's academic background includes research assistant positions at Queen Mary University of London and Stony Brook University.

Marek Lhotak began their education journey in 2009 at Stony Brook University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree. During their time at Stony Brook, Marek focused on Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics and Statistics, which they studied until their graduation in 2013. After completing their undergraduate studies, Marek pursued further education at Queen Mary University of London from 2013 to 2014. During this period, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering.
