Adj Assoc Prof Adam Smith is an accomplished marine scientist and leader with extensive experience in environmental management and sustainability. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Reef Ecologic since June 2014, Adam Smith focuses on enhancing coral reef biodiversity and coastal communities through innovative, solution-oriented science. In addition, Adam Smith is a co-founder and Deputy Chair of the Museum of Underwater Art and a volunteer citizen scientist with iNaturalist, specializing in marine fish and sharks. Adam Smith has also contributed to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority as a Townsville Local Marine Advisory Committee Member and previously held the position of Director of Environmental Assessment and Management. Adam Smith's educational background includes degrees in Marine Science and an MBA in Management from esteemed institutions. Additionally, Adam Smith has been involved with multiple organizations aimed at improving marine conservation and community leadership.
