Shengqi (John) Zhang

John Zhang has a diverse work experience in the automotive and technology industries. Shengqi (John) started their career as a Hydraulic Layout Designer at Qingdao University, where they contributed to the development of a cost-effective automatic transmission system. Shengqi (John) gained experience in schematic design, layout, routing, and verification using Altium Designer and built 3D models and 2D drawings using Siemens NX and AutoCAD.

Afterwards, John worked as a Ph.D. Researcher at NC State University, where they used mathematical and computational methods to solve industry problems and invented a next-generation solver. Shengqi (John) also served as a Teaching Assistant, creating class projects and working as a grader and subject expert for various graduate courses.

John then joined Little M Car Sales as an Automotive Technician, delivering top-quality repair services and achieving zero complaints for five years. Shengqi (John) evaluated over 1000 cars based on mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, and maintenance conditions and played a crucial role in establishing the company as a top-rated auto shop in the area.

Shengqi (John) later joined JIER North America as a Mechanical Engineer, assisting in customer service, commissioning Siemens PLC systems, and translating technical documents to support marketing efforts.

Following this, John worked at Toyota Motor Corporation as a Powertrain MBD and Control Engineer, where they contributed to powertrain development and control. Shengqi (John) then moved to Inceptio Technology as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on control-related software development.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in finite element analysis, control systems, mechanical engineering, and software development.

Shengqi (John) Zhang has a strong educational background in engineering. Shengqi (John) completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Automotive Engineering from Qingdao University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010.

Shengqi also attended Harbin No.3 High School from 2003 to 2006 to complete their high school education.

In addition to their formal education, Shengqi has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. In 2016, they completed certifications in "Teamwork Fundamentals", "Writing a Resume", and "Job Hunting for College Grads" from LinkedIn. These certifications indicate their commitment to professional development and readiness for the job market.
