Janis Berzins

Janis Berzins has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Janis started their career in 2008 as a System and Network Administrator at Lursoft Ltd., where they supported and maintained existing IT infrastructure, participating in development processes and providing user support. In 2011, they moved to Squalio Cloud Consulting as an IT Infrastructure Solutions Consultant and later became a Senior IT Infrastructure Solutions Consultant, responsible for consulting, planning, and implementing infrastructure solutions. Janis joined SQUALIO cloud consulting in 2017 as the IT Infrastructure Solutions team lead, where they managed the infrastructure team and handled project management for implementation and maintenance projects. In 2018, they joined Inchcape Latvia as the Infrastructure & IT Security Coordinator for Northern Europe. Currently, they work for Inchcape plc as the Regional CISO Europe and also serves as the Security Lead for Regions and Platforms.

Janis Berzins attended Riga Technical University from 2006 to 2007, where they studied in the Computer Science and IT faculty. They later enrolled in Riga Technical College from 2008 to 2009, pursuing a degree in System and Network Administration. In terms of certifications, Janis obtained various qualifications from Microsoft in different areas of IT, such as MCSE, MCSA, MCP, and MCTS, between 2011 and 2016. They also earned certifications from institutions like (ISC)², CQURE Academy, ISACA, and AXELOS Global Best Practice in subsequent years, with their most recent certification being Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2022.
