Lauren Sheprow

Lauren Sheprow is the current Mayor of the Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson and has held positions as a member of the Board of Trustees and Trustee Elect since July 2022. Prior to this, Lauren served as the University Media Relations Officer at Stony Brook University from November 2005 to January 2022, overseeing media relations and internal communications for various university programs and campuses. Lauren also held the position of Hospital Media Relations Director at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital from 2001 to 2005, focusing on public relations and marketing for the hospital. Earlier in their career, Lauren was the Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the Miami Open and Hard Rock Stadium from 1996 to 2001, managing extensive marketing campaigns and media strategies for the tournament. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from King's College.
