Karim Elawaad

Karim Elawaad has been working in the software engineering field since 2016. Karim started their career as a Software Developer at Made In Alex (MIA). In 2018, they joined Alexandria University as a Research Assistant, where they were responsible for implementing several indoor and outdoor localization systems on Android devices and participated in the collection of 3 new datasets. Karim also researched applying deep learning techniques to improve the performance of the localization systems and implemented a new method that outperformed state of the art by about 880% in terms of median error. In 2020, Karim joined Incorta as a Software Engineer.

Karim Elawaad attended Alexandria University from 2014 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer & Communications Engineering.
