Marc A. Gineris

Managing General Partner, Chief Investment Officer & Founder at Incyte Capital Holdings

Marc A. Gineris is the Managing General Partner, Chief Investment Officer and Founder of Incyte Capital Holdings, LLC and its various predecessor affiliates. Marc has led Incyte’s private equity investment and portfolio activities as a General Partner for 22 years. Prior to founding Incyte in early 2000, Marc was an 18 year career investment banker and held the positions of Managing Director, Partner and head of IB Corporate Finance divisions at Alex. Brown and Sons in New York and San Francisco. As a senior Managing Director, Marc headed the West Coast Corporate Finance Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown in San Francisco. He began working in finance at Kidder, Peabody & Co. in New York in 1981 in the Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions departments. In 2005, Marc co-founded with two partners American Messaging Services, LLC, the largest private paging and narrow band PCS spectrum assets company in the U.S., based in Lewisville, Texas. American Messaging today provides critical messaging services to over 1,000 hospitals nationwide.

Marc has over 40 years experience in raising capital for, investing in and working closely with the senior management of middle market companies. He has completed hundreds of successful middle market investment or sale transactions during his career and is a recognized expert in the areas of valuation, financial restructuring, and capital structure funding. Marc also has operational experience and has acted as Chief Executive Officer, President or Chief Restructuring Officer in a number of rebalancing initiatives for Incyte’s portfolio companies.

Marc has served as a board member to numerous companies in his career, most notably including Aileen, Inc. (NYSE:AEE), New Dimensions In Medicine (OTC:NDM), eVIN, Inc. (private), Madison Telecommunications Holdings Inc. (private), Paging Network of Canada Inc. (private), American Messaging Services, LLC. (private) and Liquid Engines, Inc. (private). Early in his career, Marc led notable corporate bankruptcy and out of court restructurings for constituencies with interests in Trans World Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Global Marine, Lomas Financial Corporation, Carter Hawley Hale Stores, Hexcel Corporation, WinCup Holdings and Crown Packaging, among others. Over the years, Marc has authored numerous articles and been a lecturer and speaker on the topics of corporate and securities valuation and turnaround investing.

Marc graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts in 1985 and graduated with distinction cum laude from Pomona College in Claremont, California, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981.
