John Russell

John Russell is a seasoned clinical research scientist with extensive experience spanning over two decades in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director at Incyte since July 2022, John has previously held pivotal roles at GSK from 2010 to July 2022, including Director of Clinical Science where responsibilities included leading significant clinical studies in oncology and respiratory fields, overseeing protocol development, and managing comprehensive data reviews. Prior roles at Intrexon Corporation and Medarex involved directing preclinical development and constructing therapeutic antibody expression vectors, respectively. John began a research career at RheoGene, focusing on innovative gene integration technology. Academic credentials include a PhD in Immunology from Thomas Jefferson University and a BA in Biology from Franklin & Marshall College.
