Karen Garcia has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning from 2014 to 2022.
Starting in 2014, Karen worked as a Web Development Intern at Join-TI, where they resolved bugs and assisted in the development of new and existing software using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
In 2015, they interned as an iOS Developer at the Intermídia Comunicação Interativa Ltda, where they developed new features, resolved bugs, and identified and fixed server and database errors using Objective-C, Swift, Xcode, Toad For Oracle, and SQLite. Karen also interned at the Apple Developer Academy | PUCRS, where they learned iOS development with a focus on Objective-C and Swift, and conducted research on new technologies such as Watch OS, developing and publishing apps on the App Store.
In 2016, Karen worked as a Scientific Initiation Scholarship at IFRS, conducting research in the field of education, specifically focusing on the impact of digital and board games on the learning process.
From 2017 to 2018, Karen acted as a Software Development Consultant at ThoughtWorks, maintaining and programming new functionalities on an API while primarily working with the backend using Java 8, MongoDB, Spring MVC, SpringBoot, Jenkins, and Git.
