Jim Meidlinger

Jim Meidlinger is an experienced actuary and director with a strong background in healthcare analytics and strategy. Currently serving as the Director and Actuary at Independence Blue Cross since December 2022, Jim previously held roles including Director of Growth & Partner Analytics at Cityblock Health and Director of Analytics at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where Jim led an analytics team supporting various government programs. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Director and Actuary at EmblemHealth, Senior Products Actuarial at Humana, and consultant roles at Ingenix Consulting and Truven Health Analytics. Jim's career began at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Great-West Life, focusing on actuarial functions and underwriting. Jim holds a Master of Public Health in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
