Meaghan Spencer

Meaghan Spencer is a Senior Digital Content Officer at Independent Age since December 2021, where responsibilities include designing and producing content for social media that educates and supports older individuals and their caregivers, while maintaining uniform messaging across the organization. Prior to this role, Meaghan worked at the Evening Standard from May 2017 to December 2021, serving as Assistant Audience Editor (Social), overseeing social channels and SEO coverage, and previously held positions as Social and SEO Editor, Senior Social Producer, and Social Media Producer. An early career included an Editorial Internship at Wonderland Magazine in January 2017 and a role as Social Media Editor for La La Film from 2014 to 2016, focusing on content creation and audience engagement. Meaghan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from City, University of London and completed an exchange year in International Communication and Media at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
