Jordan Cope

Jordan Cope is an experienced professional in the electrical engineering and operations training fields, currently serving as a Senior Specialist in Operations Training at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) since January 2013. Previous roles at IESO include System Operator and Assistant System Operator, where responsibilities included managing generation dispatches. Prior to IESO, Jordan worked as an Electrical Designer at SNC-Lavalin, designing electrical diagrams for substations and mining equipment, and held positions as an Electrical Engineering Technologist at Waterloo North Hydro Inc. and North Point Industries Ltd., focusing on design and PLC programming. Educational qualifications include an Electrical Engineering Technologist degree from Mohawk College and a certification in Underwater Skills from Seneca Polytechnic.
