Art Carden

Art Carden currently serves as the Margaret Gate Bush Distinguished Professor of Economics at Samford University, a position held since July 2012. In addition to this role, Carden is a Senior Fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research and the Institute for Faith, Work, and Economics, and a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute and the Beacon Center of Tennessee. Carden's previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Rhodes College and a Summer Fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute. Carden completed a PhD in Economics at Washington University in St. Louis and holds both a BS and MA in Economics from The University of Alabama.
