Mahesh Misra

Mahesh Misra has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Mahesh is currently the Managing Director and CEO of India Mortgage Guarantee Corporation (IMGC), a joint venture between Enact US, Sagen Canada, IFC, ADB, and National Housing Bank. In this role, they work closely with major lenders to guarantee individual home loans, primarily in the Affordable Housing segment.

Prior to their current position, Mahesh served as the Chief Distribution Officer at Aviva India, where they managed all major distribution channels and played a key role in revenue delivery, channel development, partner relationships, and new initiatives.

Before Aviva, Mahesh worked as a Sales Director at Experian, the world's leading Credit Information and Decision Analytics company. Mahesh'sresponsibilities included business development and revenue growth by expanding the core Credit Services business.

Earlier in their career, Mahesh held several leadership positions at Standard Chartered Bank. These roles included Head of Personal and Preferred Banking, where they oversaw the mass and mass-affluent segments and focused on balance-sheet growth and cross-selling. Mahesh also led the salary accounts business and was responsible for sales and distribution of credit cards and personal loans.

Mahesh started their career at Citibank, working across multiple geographies in distribution functions, primarily in secured assets such as mortgages and secured business loans. Mahesh began with credit card sales in Chennai before moving on to mortgage sales for Karnataka and A.

Mahesh'sprofessional journey began at Cargill, where they joined as a Commodities Trader. Mahesh was initially involved in a port operations start-up in Gujarat and later took on responsibilities for grain originations, logistics, and merchandising.

Mahesh Misra completed their Bachelors in Commerce from Utkal University between 1992 and 1995. Mahesh went on to pursue their Masters in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade between 1995 and 1997.
