Salima Hussaini

Salima Hussaini has a diverse and extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Salima started their career as a Human Resource Manager at Holiday Inn in 2007 and later moved on to become the Director of Human Resource & Training at Holiday Inn Dubai Al Barsha in 2010. In this role, they were responsible for managing HR operations, recruitment, and implementing learning and development solutions.

In 2013, Salima joined Fairmont the Palm, Dubai as an Assistant Director of Human Resources, where they oversaw HR operations for over 700 colleagues. Their responsibilities included recruitment, learning and development, and governmental relations.

Salima then joined Raffles Hotels & Resorts in 2015 as the Director of Human Resources for a brief period. Salima later joined Taj Hotels in 2019 as the Director of Human Resources for Taj Dubai. Salima was responsible for heading HR operations, managing talent, leading the learning and development function, and establishing key relationships with partnering government departments.

Currently, Salima is serving as the Director of Human Resources at Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, The Palm, Dubai, a position they took up in October 2021. Their role involves overseeing HR operations and managing talent in the resort.

Throughout their career, Salima has gained experience in various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, learning and development, governmental relations, colleague services, and administration. Salima has a track record of successfully implementing HR strategies and ensuring compliance with legislation.

Salima Hussaini completed their Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on HR, Marketing, and Finance from the Institute of Business Administration in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Hamdard University in 2002. In addition to their formal education, Salima obtained certifications such as CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) from London in 2015, CHT (Certified Hospitality Trainer) in 2014, and ALDP - Certified Trainer from IHG in 2012.
