Elavazhagan Kannan

Elavazhagan Kannan is currently the Librarian & Chief Knowledge Officer at IIM Tiruchirappalli. Elavazhagan has also previously worked as the Secretary for Madras Library Association and as the Head of the Library for Goethe-Institut. Elavazhagan has been in the library field for over 20 years, starting their career as the Manager Library IT Services for British Council in 1989. In this role, they were responsible for library automation, offering remote access to library customers, website management, and consultancy. Elavazhagan has been an active member of Madras Library Association since 2010 and was elected as its secretary in August 2010.

Elavazhagan Kannan obtained their Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Annamalai University.
