Pmp® Shubhankar Nandy

Shubhankar Nandy, PMP®, has a diverse range of work experience in various industries and roles. Shubhankar started their career as a Summer Trainee at Damodar Valley Corporation, where they gained hands-on experience in a thermal power plant. Shubhankar then interned as a Summer Trainee at Tata Motors, where they learned about assembly line production and machine maintenance.

From there, Shubhankar joined Greaves Cotton Limited as a Senior Application Engineer, working on software applications. Shubhankar then moved on to Siemens Technology India as a Sr. Systems Engineer, specializing in software development, SAP-CRM implementation, and business development in the BFSI sector.

After their tenure at Siemens, Shubhankar joined Coforge as a Project Manager, overseeing software development projects, presales activities, and bid management. Shubhankar then joined American Tower as a Dy. General Manager - IT, where they facilitated the integration of IT services and operations following a company merger.

Shubhankar continued their career at HFCL - Reliance Jio, where they played a key role in building and scaling up the IT department for pan-India operations. Shubhankar oversaw the implementation of SAP and various enterprise applications, as well as the development and deployment of mobility apps.

Shubhankar then moved on to Exide Industries Limited as Vice President & CIO before joining Jindal Stainless as CIO, where they held the position until 2020. Currently, Shubhankar is working as the Senior General Manager and Head Systems at Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd, leading the systems department.

Throughout their career, Shubhankar has demonstrated expertise in IT management, project management, system integration, and business development. Shubhankar has a proven track record of successfully implementing new technologies and leading large-scale initiatives.

Shubhankar Nandy, PMP®, has a strong educational background in both IT Systems and Mechanical Engineering. Shubhankar obtained an MBA with a specialization in IT Systems from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur, from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Shubhankar has also obtained certifications to further enhance their skillset. In 2010, they earned their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. This certification demonstrates their proficiency in project management methodologies and best practices. In 2021, they also completed a course on "Inspiring Leadership through Emotional Intelligence" offered by Coursera.

Through their education and certifications, Shubhankar has developed a strong foundation in IT Systems, Mechanical Engineering, and project management. These qualifications enable him to effectively navigate complex technical projects while exhibiting strong leadership skills.
