Susan Hall Dotson

African American Collections Curator at Indiana Historical Society

Susan Hall Dotson is an experienced museum professional currently serving as the African American Collections Curator and Coordinator of African American History at the Indiana Historical Society since June 2018. Alongside this role, Susan operates Hall Creative Productions, providing museum consulting, exhibit curation, strategic marketing, and event planning since 2000. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Community Relations and Curator at the Western Reserve Historical Society from October 2005 to May 2018, where Susan focused on exhibit development and fostering community relationships. Additionally, Susan held the position of Senior Coordinator of Community Programs at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame from 1999 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in History from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Boston University.
