Kim Hendrick has a diverse background in education and technology. Kim started their work experience in 1990 as a Teacher at MSD Perry Township, where they taught grades 1 and 2 and played a key role in establishing the school district's technology implementation plan.
Kim then moved on to work as an Educational Instructional Specialist at IBM, where they coached, mentored, and trained schools on IBM's courseware and maintained Novell Network LAN systems.
In 2000, Hendrick became a Consultant at CILC, where they developed and delivered videoconferencing implementation workshops and consulted with national school corporations on integrating technology into the curriculum.
From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Sales Representative at Walsworth Publishing, where they project managed yearbook production, expanded the client base, and designed summer camps and customized trainings.
Hendrick then joined Indiana Online Academy in 2011 as the eLearning & Professional Development Coordinator. In this role, they managed learning opportunities, researched emerging technology, and collaborated with teachers to develop online classes.
In 2014, they became the Coordinator of Connected Learning at Center Grove Community School Corp, where they provided leadership in developing online and technology-enriched learning opportunities.
From 2015 to 2018, Hendrick served as the Director of Online Curriculum & Technology at Indiana Online Academy, where they facilitated online course creation, managed curriculum, and built relationships with stakeholders.
Kim'smost recent position is the Executive Director of Indiana Online, starting in 2020. In this role, they oversee the organization's management, fiscal oversight, and growth, while also maintaining relationships with stakeholders and the education community.
Kim Hendrick completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Education with a focus on Technology from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Education from the University of Indianapolis between 1986 and 1990. In addition to their formal education, Kim also earned a certification in the K-12 Reviewer Course from QM Quality Matters in February 2017.
