Esha Singaraju

Esha Singaraju is currently a Columnist at The Daily Tar Heel, an Ignite Accelerator Fellow at AI4ALL, and an Undergraduate Researcher at the UNC Institute for the Environment, where Esha builds predictive models using machine learning to assess financial aid eligibility for uninsured homeowners. Esha also serves as an Environmental Law Research Intern at the University of North Carolina School of Law, focusing on climate risk insurance under the mentorship of Dr. Hornstein. Additional experience includes roles as a Radio Disc Jockey at WXYC, an Intern at Evvy, and National Financial Literacy Director for Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda. Esha has previously held the position of Director of Finances at Wisteria Magazine and interned at Stash Wealth. Esha's educational background includes a dual major in Computer Science and Environmental Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with prior studies at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics and Marvin Ridge High School, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Hindustani Raga Music from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal.
