Ramana Rao

Ramana Rao has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Ramana is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at indie Semiconductor since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Director of Engineering at indie Semiconductor from March 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining indie Semiconductor, Ramana held the position of Vice President of ASIC Design at Eximius Design from June 2018 to March 2021. Ramana also worked as a Senior Principal Design Engineer at RED Digital Cinema from February 2012 to June 2018.

Ramana has held various engineering leadership roles throughout their career. Ramana served as the Director of Engineering at AppliedMicro from October 2011 to February 2012, as the Director of Engineering at Nethra Imaging from August 2008 to October 2011, and as a Senior Engineering Manager at Centillium Communications from May 2007 to August 2008.

Additionally, they have experience as a Design Verification Lead at ServerEngines from October 2004 to May 2007, as a Design Verification Manager at Centillium Communications from April 2004 to October 2004, and as a Project Lead in Design Verification at Infineon Technologies from February 2001 to April 2004.

Ramana's career began as an Engineering Manager at Integrated Circuit Technlogy, Inc. in October 1999, where they worked until February 2001.

Ramana Rao completed their education in a disciplined and progressive manner. Ramana began their academic journey at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from 1984 to 1988. Ramana then proceeded to Louisiana State University, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 1989 to 1991. Continuing their pursuit of higher education, Ramana Rao completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science at Louisiana State University from 1991 to 1995. Ramana'sacademic journey spans over a decade, reflecting their commitment and dedication to expanding their knowledge and expertise in the field of computer science.
