Himanshu Khurana

Himanshu Khurana is the current VP of Engineering at Industrial Scientific Corporation. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer and VP of Building Solutions at Honeywell from January 2011 to March 2021. In this role, they were responsible for driving the company's technology strategy, product innovation and development, and technology operations.

Under Khurana's leadership, Honeywell launched Healthy Building solutions to improve building air quality, safety and security in response to the needs of the COVID-19 pandemic. These solutions included innovative sensing, control, integration, and data-driven dashboards. Some of the most successful innovations to come out of this period include products and platforms such as Smart City Surveillance, Integrated Enterprise Building Management, Energy Optimization, Healthcare Safety & Security Software, and Occupant Experience for Buildings.

These full stack IoT solutions spanned advanced sensing and control with smart edge, hybrid compute and analytics, data analytics with computer vision and predictive maintenance, integration with open APIs, intuitive interfaces, and scalable operations for a large install base. Leveraging a scaled agile framework, Khurana and their team were able to realize speed and higher returns on investment.

From August 2019 to July 2020, Khurana served as the Digital Transformation Leader for Honeywell's Building Solutions BU. In this role, they developed and launched Enterprise IT tools and solutions to drive productivity across a 5000+ solutions workforce.

Himanshu Khurana received their Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland and their Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
