Sean Griffey is the CEO and co-founder of Industry Dive, a media and lead generation company. Sean has over 25 years of experience in the media and consulting industries.
Sean started their career as a consultant with Andersen Consulting. Sean then spent three years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a manager and principal consultant. In 2003, they joined EDS / AT Kearney as a managing consultant.
In 2005, Sean joined FierceMarkets as president. Sean helped lead the company through a successful exit to a private equity-backed strategic buyer. Sean was responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction and delivering financial results. Under Sean’s leadership, FierceMarkets beat revenue and earnings targets in every quarter. The company more than doubled its revenue and quadrupled its EBITDA since the sale. Sean managed a team of 75 full-time and freelance staff members and oversaw the launch of online products, including 20 publications, 2 virtual events, ebooks, and mobile applications. Sean also served as senior adviser to the overall Questex B2B portfolio.
In 2012, Sean left FierceMarkets to start Industry Dive. Industry Dive is a media and lead generation company that provides online expertise to business professionals in seven different industries: healthcare, technology, finance, energy, food & drink, transportation, and materials. The company has over 1,200,000 subscribers and offers advertising-supported products in all seven industries.
Sean Griffey has a MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Economics from Penn State University.
