Ana Ramos

Principal Investigator at INEGI driving science & innovation

Ana Ramos has a diverse work experience in research and academia. Ana currently works as a Principal Investigator at INEGI - Instituto de Ciência e Inovação em Engenharia Mecânica e Engenharia Industrial since July 2020. Prior to this, they completed their PhD in Environmental Engineering at the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where they conducted research from December 2015 to January 2020. In 2015, they briefly worked as a Higher Technician at CESPU - Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário. Before that, they held research fellow positions at INEGI Porto from January 2015 to June 2015, at IDMEC from February 2013 to December 2014, at FEUP from November 2011 to May 2012, and at CICECO from June 2009 to May 2011.

Ana Ramos received a BSc in Chemistry from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto in 2006. Ana then pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Analytical Chemistry from Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade do Porto from 2006 to 2008. In 2007, they also obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Analytical Chemistry from Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Valladolid. Ana later completed their PhD in Environmental Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto in 2020. Additionally, they obtained a Project Management degree from Tecminho in 2017. Ana has acquired various certifications, including Empreendedorismo em economia circular from Universidad de Salamanca, Critical Raw Materials from Chalmers tekniska högskola, and Formação Profissional de Gestão de Projetos from APGEI. Ana is an ACS member and SETAC member. Additionally, Ana has certifications in Circular Economy, Creative Thinking, Divulgação e Comunicação em Ciência, Project Management, and Scientific Writing and Publishing.
