Arlindo Oliveira

Arlindo Oliveira is a distinguished academic and leader in electrical engineering and computer science, currently serving as a Distinguished Invited Professor at Macau University of Science and Technology since September 2023. Oliveira has held various prestigious positions at Instituto Superior Técnico since January 1995, including Distinguished Professor, President, and Vice President. Additionally, responsibilities at INESC include President and Board Member since January 2004, and Board Member at CAIXA GERAL DE DEPOSITOS, S.A. since August 2020. Oliveira has served as a Senior Researcher and President at INESC-ID since 2000, and has been a Visiting Researcher at The University of Tokyo and a Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Educational qualifications include a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, a Post-Graduation in Risk Management from INSEAD, and a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Instituto Superior Técnico, all in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
