Luigi Portinale has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of computer science. Luigi is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Inferendo since December 2019. Luigi has also been associated with the University of Piemonte Orientale, where they held various roles including Full Professor of Computer Science, Head of Computer Science Institute, Associate Professor of Computer Science, and Assistant Professor of Computer Science from 1998 to 2018. Furthermore, they served as the Chair of the Computer Science Department at the same university from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Torino from 1993 to 1998. Their research interests primarily focus on Artificial Intelligence, particularly Case-Based Reasoning, Bayesian Networks, and Intelligent Web Applications.
Luigi Portinale completed their high school education at the Istituto Tecnico Commerciale e per Geometri "Luigi Einaudi" Alba from 1978 to 1983. During this time, they obtained a diploma in geometra. Following their high school education, Luigi enrolled at the Università degli Studi di Torino and pursued a degree in Computer Science. Luigi completed their Laurea degree from 1983 to 1988. Luigi continued their academic journey at the same university and obtained a PhD in Computer Science from 1990 to 1993.
