Yiwen (Ernie) Tian has six years of work experience. In 2016, they held summer internships at China Computer-Room Equipment Engineering Co. Ltd and NNIT. In 2018, they worked as a Laboratory Intern at the Social, Health, and Interdisciplinary Psychophysiology Lab, Rutgers University, where they ran experiments to see how event-related potentials (ERP) reacted to threatening stimuli, filtered out noises and invalid data with EEGLAB (MATLAB), and optimized process pipelines and automated data processing using Excel macros and Python. In 2020, they worked as a Data Science & Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Advanced Continuing Education Association (ACEA). In 2021, they worked as a Research Technician I Data Analyst at Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, where they constructed Bash scripts to convert DICOM files into BIDS format and prepared datasets for release, aided end-users and managed public datasets with NoSQL and AWS S3 CLI, and ran large scale processing pipelines of neuroimaging studies in Docker. Currently, they are an Implementation Engineer at Infervision.
Yiwen (Ernie) Tian received their High School diploma from Hopkinton High School in 2013-2014. Yiwen(Ernie) then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Rutgers University from 2014-2018. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Columbia Engineering, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
