Joel Gilmore

Joel Gilmore is a seasoned professional in energy policy and planning, currently serving as the GM Energy Policy & Planning at Iberdrola Australia since April 2018. With a rich background that includes roles as Associate Professor at CAEEPR and Reliability Panel Member at the Australian Energy Market Commission, Joel has contributed significantly to the development of effective energy market policies aimed at ensuring a reliable and low emissions electricity grid. Previous experience includes positions at Griffith University, Energy Security Board, Australian Energy Market Operator, and EY, where expertise in renewable energy, market design, and economic modeling has been demonstrated. Joel holds a PhD in Physics and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics and Mathematics from The University of Queensland.
