Erich Wenger is a seasoned professional in computer engineering with extensive experience in digital design and firmware development. Currently serving as Lead Principal Engineer for Digital Design at Infineon Technologies since September 2015, Wenger has been instrumental as the lead micro-architect for a secure Armv8-M CPU and various crypto accelerators. Previously, Wenger worked as a Research Assistant at Technische Universität Graz, where 22 international publications were produced and 27 master and bachelor theses were supervised while also teaching a master-level course in IT-Security. Earlier roles included firmware and software development at AlliedPanels, LLC, and SKIDATA AG, alongside automated testing and hardware development. Wenger holds a Doctor of Engineering degree from Technische Universität Graz, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution and ETH Zürich.
