Dan Bleaken

Dan Bleaken has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dan started their career as a Research Scientist at the Met Office's Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research, where they contributed to the development of a climate prediction model and conducted research on tropical storms. Later, they worked as a Database/Marketing Consultant at Fullgroove, providing clients with data analysis and data-driven decision-making support.

Dan then joined Symantec as a Senior Malware Data Analyst, where they utilized data from multiple sources to provide insights into internet threats and improve detection and prevention methods. Dan further advanced in their career by joining Dyson as a Senior Business Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, and finally as Associate Principal Data Analyst, specializing in call center CRM systems and logistics data.

After that, Dan joined Pollen as a Senior Analytics Engineer, focusing on building and maintaining an analytics-friendly data ecosystem for growth and marketing. Currently, they are working at Infinite Lambda as a Senior Analytics Engineer, collaborating with the internal team and project teams to transform raw data into meaningful datasets and reports.

Throughout their career, Dan has consistently demonstrated their analytical expertise and domain knowledge, utilizing data to drive insights and support decision-making in various industries.

Dan Bleaken obtained a Bachelor's degree in MPhys Astrophysics 2.1. from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. In 2000, they pursued further education and completed an MSc in Meteorology, Climate & Numerical Modelling from the University of Reading, which lasted until 2001.

In terms of additional certifications, Dan achieved a Fivetran Technical Certification from Fivetran in December 2022. Dan also obtained a Hands-On Essentials - Data Warehouse certification from Snowflake in the same month and year. Furthermore, they acquired a DBT Fundamentals certification from dbt Labs in November 2022.
