Somarajan Nair

Somarajan Nair has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning multiple roles and companies. Starting in 2001, Nair worked as a Post Doctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University in the City of New York until 2004. From 2004 to 2016, Nair joined Infinity Pharmaceuticals, where they held various positions such as Scientist, Senior Scientist, Lead Senior Scientist, and Research Associate Director. In 2018, Nair joined ProUnlimited as a Principal Scientist before moving to Agios Pharmaceuticals in 2019. At Agios Pharmaceuticals, Nair served as a Senior Scientist from 2019 to 2020 and then transitioned to the role of Associate Director from 2020 to 2022. Currently, Nair holds the position of Associate Director at Infinity Pharmaceuticals, starting in 2022.

Somarajan Nair has a strong educational background in the field of Organic Synthesis. Somarajan completed their Ph.D in Organic Synthesis from the University of Kerala, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, they pursued their Ph.D in Chemistry from the National Institute of Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (formerly Regional Research Lab) from 1994 to 1999. Following their Ph.D, they further enhanced their knowledge and expertise by undertaking a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Kobe Pharmaceutical University from 1999 to 2001, focusing on Organic Synthesis. Overall, Somarajan Nair has a comprehensive academic background in the field of Organic Synthesis, which includes both doctoral and post-doctoral research experiences.
