Warren D. Carew

Warren D. Carew, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology and financial services industry. Warren D. started their career as a Senior Consultant at Sagentia, where they worked on various projects. Warren D. later became the Technical Lead and Architect at Sagentia's Managed Services Division, responsible for the development and implementation of the Vodafone Money Transfer Product in Kenya, Tanzania, and Afghanistan.

Warren then joined Redtail Telematics Ltd as an Enterprise Architect, where they reviewed and optimized the performance of the Fleet Management Platform. Warren D. also worked as an Enterprise Architect at Technical Solution Consultants Ltd, contributing to the design and implementation of a pan-European cloud-based solution.

In 2009, they founded Iceni Mobile Technology Limited and served as the Chief Technical Officer, providing technical leadership in the development of a next-generation mobile services platform. Warren D. also supported RedCloud Technology and Plextek in deploying the mobile money solution into several countries.

Warren's experience in the mobile payments sector continued when they joined Vodafone Group Services as an M-PESA Enterprise Architect. Warren D. then moved to Mobile Money Americas Corp. as the Chief Technology Officer, where they established a distributed development and operations team that delivered a mobile money solution in El Salvador.

From 2012 to 2013, Warren worked at Sagentia again, this time as an Architect and Software Development Manager, overseeing the RESOLUTION Genotyping Technology project. Warren D. also had a brief role as an Enterprise Architect at Redtail Telematics Ltd, contributing to the design decisions for the next version of their Fleet Management Platform.

In 2017, they joined WM Global Solutions Ltd as a Digital Financial Services, Technical Leadership and Transformation Expert, where they consulted for financial service and technology companies, offering technical leadership and helping them navigate the regulatory landscape.

Most recently, Warren has been involved with ModusBox and INFITX. Warren D. joined ModusBox as a Principal and later became the VP of Payment Solutions. In 2022, the Payment Solutions team transitioned to focus on products delivering equitable and inclusive financial services, forming a new organization called INFITX Inc. Warren has been serving as the Managing Director (dba INFITX) and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of INFITX.

Warren D. Carew received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering (with Honours) from the University of Cape Town, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. Warren D. went on to pursue their PhD in Control Theory at the same university, completing their doctoral studies from 1995 to 2002.
