Jakob Sjölander

Jakob Sjölander has a diverse and extensive work experience. Jakob is currently the Head of Growth & Business Development at Infobaleen since November 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of CEO and Co-Founder at Infobaleen, a deep tech company, from August 2015 to November 2022.

Before joining Infobaleen, Jakob worked as the CEO OTT-VOD (Digital Ventures) at Millicom (Tigo) from July 2014 to July 2015. Jakob also worked at Business Sweden - Swedish Trade and Invest Council as the Trade Commissioner Mexico/Market Unit Manager Mexico and Central America from March 2012 to July 2014.

In their earlier career, Jakob held multiple roles at Modern Times Group MTG AB. Jakob was the CEO of Redaktörerna from March 2010 to April 2012. Prior to this, they served as the CEO of Playahead from July 2008 to March 2010 and as the CEO of ZTV from July 2008 to December 2008. Jakob also worked in product development from December 2006 to July 2008, as a project manager from January 2003 to November 2006, as a treasurer/cash manager from January 2002 to December 2002, and as a management trainee from January 2001 to December 2001.

Jakob's early career began at EF Education, where they worked as an Account Manager from June 1999 to July 2000.

Jakob Sjölander obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Uppsala University between the years 1995 and 1999. In 1998, they also briefly attended the University of Deusto to study Business, although no specific degree was mentioned.
