Minal Bopaiah

Minal’s 17 years of experience spans both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. By working with start-up and established publications that are looking to stay profitable and relevant in a changing media landscape, she brings a numbers-driven mindset to all her work. At the same time, her work with notable nonprofits like Doctors Without Borders and Sesame Workshop has helped her discover how to best use media and marketing to increase audience engagement and change hearts and minds with limited resources.

Minal previously served as Executive Editor of Subscription Insider, an online business publication for marketing executives looking to optimize subscription revenues. She has been an invited speaker at many industry events, including SIPA, SIIA, Folio:’s MediaNext, the Financial Publisher’s Roundtable, DataContent, and the Specialist Media Show. She is also the author of the 2013 Online Subscription Industry Benchmark Report and the 2014 Email Marketing Benchmark Report.

She has also served as a communications manager and lead digital strategist for Population Services International, a global non-profit with an annual budget of $600 million. There, she helped develop capacity-building workshops in digital skills, as well as advised senior management on website development.
