Rizk Ibrahim El-Shorbagy

Rizk Ibrahim El-Shorbagy currently holds the position of Vice President Public Relations at the Society of Petroleum Engineers International, while also serving as a member of the Public Relations team. Rizk has gained diverse experience through various internships and volunteer roles, including positions at Centamin PLC as an Exploration Geologist Intern focused on HSE induction and mine policy, and at ExxonMobil, participating in an exploration workshop centered on hydrocarbon exploration. Additional roles include internships at PETROBEL and General Petroleum Company, where Rizk engaged in HSE training and gained insight into drilling operations. Rizk is also involved with the Ministry of Petroleum in Egypt as a volunteer for the EGYPES Young Professionals program. Educationally, Rizk is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Al-Azhar University, with an anticipated graduation date in August 2025.
