Jorge Gamito Pereira

Jorge Gamito Pereira has extensive work experience in various roles, primarily as a co-founder and partner in different companies. Jorge co-founded Uniksystem in 2012 and served as the CEO. In 2015, they co-founded Joyn Group and worked as a partner, focusing on software products, IT outsourcing, and service design. Jorge also co-founded and held partner positions at Infosistema, starting in 1996. At Infosistema, they were involved in software development, nearshore teams, and business development. Between 2011 and 2019, they served as the co-founder, VP, and later CEO of Infosistema, supporting clients in technology investments and business strategy. Jorge also founded Venture Way in 2020, a platform for innovation and transformation. Additionally, they have held advisory roles in companies such as Zero Emissions World, Greenlynx Technologies, and Joyn Ventures. Jorge currently serves as a vogal CD Região Sul at Ordem dos Engenheiros - Região Sul. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, they worked as an IT consultant at Oracle Portugal, specializing in server and desktop management, network and security management, and user support.

Jorge Gamito Pereira's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrotecnic Engineering, Computers and Systems from Instituto Superior Técnico, which they completed from 1989 to 1994. Jorge then pursued a Master's degree in Informatics from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro from 2009 to 2010. In 1996 to 2002, they obtained an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification in Database Administration from Oracle. Jorge later earned a Ph.D. in Risk and Importance of Information Systems to organizations from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, which they completed from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, in 1994, they obtained a Professional Aptitude Certificate (CAP) as a Trainer from Fundetec, IEFP.

Jorge Gamito Pereira also holds several certifications. In 2016, they achieved the Business Angel certification from IAPMEI, I.P. - Agência para a Competitividade e Inovação. Jorge became a Specialist in Security Engineering in 2012, certified by Ordem dos Engenheiros - Região Sul. In 2010, they became an effective member of the Engineers Order, specifically in the Electrotechnical college, also certified by Ordem dos Engenheiros - Região Sul. Jorge obtained an OCP certification in Oracle 8i: Architecture and Administration from Oracle in 2000. In 1994, they received a Certified Trainers Course for Pedagogical Skills (CAP) certification from IEFP.
