Jim Williams

Jim Williams has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jim worked as a Product Manager and R&D Engineer at Agilent Technologies from 2001 to 2005, where they led an international team and played a key role in product development, resulting in successful prototypes and cost reduction. From 2007 to 2021, Jim worked at McKinsey & Company, holding various positions, including Associate Partner and Global Manager, focusing on product development and procurement. During their tenure, they gained expertise in managing global teams and shaping product strategies. In 2021, Jim joined FTC Solar, Inc as the Senior Director of Product Management, where they built and led a team responsible for developing and launching solar tracker products. Jim also contributed to the company's long-term product strategy and documentation. Currently, Jim is serving as the Vice President of Product Management at Info-Tech Research Group, a position they assumed in 2023. Additionally, they are a Board Member at Stratford Hall.

Jim Williams has a strong education background in engineering and business. Jim earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA in 1999 and went on to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 1999-2000. Later, Jim attended Northwestern University where they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Management in 2005-2006, and an MBA with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management in 2005-2007, specializing in Finance and Marketing.
