Luca Tonello

Luca Tonello is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the banking and structured finance sectors. Currently serving as the Chair of Sector Banking for the Asia Pacific region at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation since October 2008, Luca oversees banking strategy with a focus on Energy & Infrastructure and Real Estate. Previous roles include General Manager of Structured Finance and Head of Asia for Global Structured Finance at SMBC, as well as significant positions at Clifford Capital, Aseem Infrastructure Finance, and Infrastructure Asia. Additional leadership experience includes chairing the Project Finance Committee for the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association and a tenure as an Advisory Council Member for the IPFA. Luca's educational background includes advanced degrees in Finance and Engineering from prestigious institutions such as The Wharton School and London Business School.
