Dalton Jenkins

Dalton Jenkins is currently the CFO at Infrastructure Group. Dalton has over 22 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Dalton started their career in January 1998 as a controller at a private lease finance company. Dalton was responsible for overseeing a broad range of financial functions in the accounting/finance department. This included supervising, mentoring, and evaluating a team of 19, including 5 direct reports. Dalton also managed benchmarks/covenants to measure financial and operational performance. Dalton was also responsible for evaluating the accounts and profitability of 10 departments and 13 subsidiaries.

During their time at the private lease finance company, Dalton made several key contributions and achievements. Dalton developed and implemented a reporting package that created easy access and user-friendly financial reporting, policies, procedures, controls, and systems. This reporting package automated transactions across all companies, types of sales, and countries (U.S., U.K., Canada). It also reduced month-end GL entry from 2 weeks to 1 day (daily automated posting).

Dalton was also responsible for leading the application of new FASB laws that required a 10-year restatement of FS. Dalton completed the restatement and 2012/2013 audits in 6 months (required for funding from a major bank).

In addition, Dalton was hand-selected to manage the HR department following the departure of the CFO. Dalton advised against outsourcing HR, with the plan being accepted and implemented by upper management. This generated $100,000 in annual savings through the avoidance of outsourcing.

Dalton also recommended the use of FRx Report Writer accompanied by MAS 500 to rewrite the majority of month-end reports. Dalton redesigned the chart of accounts and eliminated the manual approach through an automated solution. This reduced staff from 30 to 20 for a $360,000+ annual savings with zero impact on meeting deadlines. It also decreased the time for quarterly audits to within 1 week for field work and 3 weeks for annual audit. This saved $80,000 annually by converting to a new G/L system.

Finally, Dalton recommended the link of A/R, A/P, and GL systems. Dalton also automated signing of checks to expedite check batch processing. For cash collection and bank reconciliation, they led the design of a system to reconcile each lease transaction across a pool of over 400,000 leases (~1 million transactions per month). This reduced reconciliation time from 14 days to 1 day, resulting in $120,000 annual savings.

Dalton Jenkins has a Master of Business Administration - MBA from Liberty University, a BS in Accounting from City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College, and a PhD in Missions from New York Theological Seminary. Dalton is also certified as a T-JTA Authorized Practitioner.

Buchanan - CPO & MD, ESG, Courtney Swartz - Director, International Partnerships & ESG, and Jen Harris - Director of Communications.
