Betina Naiman has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Betina started their career in 1998 at the NSW Cancer Council as a Data Clerk, where they were responsible for medical records matching. Betina also took on additional roles as a business analyst and system tester for the development of record matching software. Betina then joined Accenture in 2001 as an Analyst in the Financial Services sector.
In 2003, Betina joined the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where they held various roles. Betina started as a Manager in Business Solutions, responsible for scoping, planning, and delivering Information Services projects. Betina then became an Executive Manager in Project Delivery, overseeing Group Services IT projects.
Betina joined Macquarie Group in 2007, where they held the role of Strategy Manager in Macquarie Private Wealth. Betina later became an Associate Director, leading IT strategy and architecture within the Banking and Financial Services Group. Betina was responsible for establishing IT strategy and vision and led architecture governance.
In 2015, Betina joined Commonwealth Bank as an Executive Manager, Business Solutions Consulting in Wealth. Betina later became the Executive Manager of the Workforce and Partnering Program, followed by the Chief Product Owner of the Risk Management Execution Portfolio. In this role, they were accountable for ensuring project spend returned value to the organization and driving an uplift in Product Ownership capability.
Most recently, in 2018, Betina joined ING Australia as the Head of Planning and Operations for the Retail Bank.
Betina Naiman began their education at Brearley from 1979 to 1981, followed by Ascham from 1981 to 1987. Betina then attended Moriah from 1988 to 1993. After that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology/ Microbiology at UNSW from 1995 to 1998. Betina furthered their education with a Masters of Commerce in Commerce, Information Systems, and Management at UNSW from 1999 to 2000. In 2006, they attended the International Banking Summer School.
